Hyouka's artwork is a marvel to look at since it was animated by KyoAni, but Kokoro Connect's artwork is also very good. When looking at the artwork for Kokoro Connect and Hyouka, the artwork looks strikingly similar to each other, despite being animated by differing studios. Yamada-kun and Kokoro Connect do have lots in common and when watching Yamada-kun I couldn't help but get traumatising flashbacks to the time I had to suffer through Kokoro Connect. And you won't see as much melodrama in there as Kokoro Connect! That's for sure. Sure, there is drama in Yamada but there's still a lot of comedic moments. In Kokoro Connect the anime takes a lot more of a dramatic route (MELODRAMIC -_-), while in Yamada-kun it takes more of a comedic route. Both anime also have romance as one of the main elements. Both of these anime flip flop through many different supernatural abilities but with body swapping being the first supernatural ability the characters encounter and the main attraction. However, in Kokoro Connect the characters don't do anything in their stupid damn club (sure, the club in Yamada-kun was also pointless with the characters mucking around but at least that club had an objective!) until some supernatural stuff suddenly punches them in their stupid faces. In Yamada's case, the high school club is centres around finding people with supernatural abilies, with some of the members having supernatural abilities. read moreīoth deal with teenagers in a club in high school that deal with supernatural abilities. It is interesting to note that both also have a comedy more centered on romantic interactions (and on some sexual lines) between the characters, although in Bunny-Girl the humor is much more dependent on the protagonist. Both Bunny-Girl and Kokoro Connect present moments of comedy in conciliation with this more dramatic and serious narrative. These experiences also lead to closer ties between the characters in the cast. In Kokoro Connect, the events are conducted by "Seed Heart". In Bunny-Girl, it is the Adolescent Syndrome. In both works, the dilemmas faced by the characters (and, of course, their resolutions) are strictly associated with supernatural experiences. Bunny-Girl, on the other hand, presents more specific themes and social criticisms, such as deep-rooted bullying, family pressure and comparison between sisters, the compulsive need for inclusion in social groups and networks, the constant dissemination of the body and image without conscience, among other things. Kokoro Connect, for example, addresses personality and identity crises, troubled family relationships, correspondence and past or current relationships. As if this were not enough, these internal problems, in general, represent important parallels with the common problems in adolescence and puberty. Both take place in a school reality in which the characters involved, mostly, present personal dramas that are solved with the progression of the narrative. Since the genres of these works are almost identical, there is little surprise in this recommendation.
